Honor of Kings

Getting involved in activities, hobbies, and ministries, etc., can be very hard for some individuals.  It seems that most people fall into two extremes.  They are either not involved at all and keep to themselves, or they are so involved that they do not have any time to rest, spend time with God, or listen to His voice.

I believe God wants us to be balanced.  The Lord wants to use us; not in some forced way, but He created us for a purpose and He knows if we do not see this purpose through, we will be filled with regret and unfulfilled.

There is a reason for all that God does, and He is always revealing His details for our callings, ministries, and gifts.  We have to choose to see it, though.  God has called you to something amazing and great.  He has given you gifts that He longs for you to share with others.

It is our joy and blessing to search out (by asking God and listening) where we are to minister, where our gifts should be used, and to remain open to the Holy Spirit’s leading.  When we begin to fulfill our callings and purpose, and to be involved with others around us, we begin to experience fulfillment, blessings, and refreshment.

As I said, there needs to be balance.  So make sure you also rest and take time to pray and listen.  Do not run yourself dry, but continue to be filled up in order to be poured out.  He has a plan.  Seek Him today for how He wants you to be involved.

Heavenly Father,

Within us lies so many gifts, talents, hobbies, ministries, and purposes all of which are just waiting to be birthed.  Perhaps we have failed to recognize what those are, or we chose to ignore Your leadings and did not submit ourselves to You.  We repent where we have missed the mark, and we choose today to press in and seek You for what You would have us do.  We long to reach our full potential and fulfill that which has been placed inside of us.  We choose to live our days for You, no longer will we choose to live in regret.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
